We recommend you to wear your favourit swim-wear and bring your own wetsuit and water shoes if you are a water sport pro.
During summer we recommend you to wear your preferred swim-wear and bring lots of sun block.
During the winter we recommend you to wear your preferred swim wear under a thermal top and thermal leggings which you can put a wetsuit over to stay warmer if needed. We recommend you are wearing these swim-wear and under layers underneath normal clothing on pick-up. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Kayak trips operate almost all year round:
– January and February the weather and sea conditions are not the best, so we usually take a break from the activity.
– From March onwards, the weather and sea conditions cooperate, offering the opportunity to enjoy this stunning environment.
– I welcome you to Warehouse No. 9, opposite DocaPesca.
– The warehouse has a kayak on display on the wall that can be seen from some distance away.
– You should arrive well in advance in order to respect the stipulated departure and arrival times. You will then have the opportunity to receive detailed instructions about the experience.
– If you are travelling by car, there is free parking at the back of the Lagos Marina building, near the train station. – There are plenty of car parking spaces and it’s free

We recommend it! – If you’re sharing the adventure with experienced friends or family, it’s not a problem. If it’s your first time and you’re going alone, then it’s not recommended. Safety is something not to be overlooked. In any open water activity, the ‘distance’ between SAFE and unsafe is very thin, and something that is super fun can quickly turn into a nightmare. Respect all the recommendations in the briefing.
No !! We do not provide neoprene wetsuits or neoprene wet-shoes to keep you warm in winter. In sumer wetsuits and water-shoes are not required.
Not recommended! All participants receive a personal flotation aid to help keep them afloat if they fall into the water. But doing this experience without professional support increases the risk of an accident if you don’t know how to swim.

On the Ponta da Piedade kayak adventure, the waters are calm, we are very lucky that in Ponta da Piedade – Lagos – Algarve, the waters are very calm and clear. However, as with any water and transport activity, there are inherent and assumed risks.
NO !! The Tours operate all year round. Customers in winter love our tours just the same as customers in summer !!
The minimum age for Kayak tours is 5 years old. Any person under 17 years old most be accompanied by a responsible adult. We advise families with young children to choose our first kayak tour of the day, instead of the others Tours.
While greater levels of fitness generally help in all aspects of life, you do not need to be any kind of athlete to take part in our tours, kayaking on the Ponta da Piedade Coastline is generally a relaxing more leisure type activity.
To paddle the entire Ponta da Piedade coastline at a familiar pace and visit most of the caves, you’ll need 1 hour 15 or 1 hour 30 minutes. We reckon that’s the average time needed for this experience until you reach the last rock formation after the Lighthouse. However, we mustn’t forget that we have to return to the starting point and do the whole route back, so you’ll need another hour at a familiar pace. That’s why we recommend a 4-hour hire, so that you can enjoy stops at isolated and inaccessible beaches, and relax and enjoy magical moments. If you don’t go kayaking or paddleboarding, you don’t have that possibility.

We do our best to make our tours as inclusive as possible. As long as you’re comfortable trying… so are we.
However, this tour is not recommended for pregnant women or people with back problems.
As long as you take all your rubbish with you, there’s no problem bringing a light snack in the kayak. We recommend saving your appetite for the city, we have plenty of places to recommend.
